Rampant diagnostic errors source of concern among medical fraternity

The latest study titled ‘25-Year summary of US malpractice claims for diagnostic errors 1986-2010: an analysis from the National Practitioner Data Bank’ was initiated by David E. Newman-Toker, MD, Johns Hopkins Hospital and colleagues and found that the diagnostic errors have proved very expensive for hospitals.
